Most people think that methamphetamine is a safer drug that can be used for recreational purposes without causing as much harm as heroin and cocaine can produce. In fact, this is what you will hear a lot if you are at a party where methamphetamine is being sneakily distributed.

Many unfortunate young people begin a methamphetamine habit when they hear this. But then, the methamphetamine addiction just doesn’t go away from their lives. They become slaves to it and want more and more of it. With that, can it really be said that a meth addiction is the safest drug addiction? Can any drug addiction really be safe? The high caused by methamphetamine is very strong, and that is what has made this drug so very popular in underground youth culture across the world. Whether you snort, smoke or inject meth into your body, you are going to experience an uncharacteristic high as soon as you introduce it into your body. Abusers of meth say that this high is much stronger than that produced by heroin or cocaine.

At the same time, people who are pushing meth will say that this is a youth drug, and is definitely not as lethal as heroin and cocaine. Their sales pitch usually is that the drug causes unprecedented enjoyment with no health effects.

But you must know this – methamphetamine is a drug as bad as any other and it can produce fatal side effects also. It can convert the brain into a cabbage after a few weeks of usage, and due to the uncharacteristic high that it makes your body used to, you find it very difficult to get out of the addiction. The most dangerous aspect is that a meth addiction can give you a heart attack the very first time you use it, because of the blatantly poisonous substances it is made out of – antifreeze, battery acid, drain cleaner and lantern fuel.
